„Oh Elusive One, have you ever given thought to the hubris of your actions?“

Among us there walks a knight draped in blue, of whom none know the name nor the past. Some whisper that a wraith hides beneath, a demon who bathes in the light of a stolen sun. Forever fleeing from the Abyss, it holds on dearly to the radiance it has now claimed as its own.Yet its transgressions have not been forgotten - for there is another, a young knight of no renown, who has been swallowed by the dark it had left behind. A soul who would give anything to reclaim his friend’s light and slay the demon in blue who dares dream of new beginnings. But the price to fulfill such desires is steep - and oft adorned with costs beyond one’s initial belief. Will they be willing to pay the toll when the moment has come?Only the Abyss can tell.

About the Art Book

Hello and welcome to EXPIATIO, my first fully realized story art book!EXPIATIO is the result of six years of recurring story planning - one initiated by my desire to challenge myself artistically like never before. Back in 2020, I wanted to push my artistic limits to the max.
At that time I was incredibly infatuated with knights and dark fantasy, which is why I decided to do an illustration challenge called Knightober.
I have always been a storyteller at heart - while most know me for my illustrations and paintings, a big part of my creative energy comes from envisioning scenes, character developments, and stories that inform the scene of each artwork. EXPIATIO is simply a natural extension of said drive, as the story behind these characters has become very dear to my heart, and required more than just standalone illustrations to be fully told.

What to expect from EXPIATIO
